Pizza Delivery Man Sought for Slugging 89-Year-Old: NYPD

A pizza delivery man is being sought after police in the Bronx say he slugged a nearly-90-year-old man.

The sucker-punch happened March 9 at 1 p.m. inside an apartment building in the area of Hull Avenue and East 209th Street in Norwood, according to the NYPD. Police say the man dropping off a pizza order got into a verbal argument with an 89-year-old man inside an elevator.

When the pair was getting off the elevator, the suspect punched the man and pushed him to the ground, officials said. The pizza delivery man fled the scene and hasn’t been seen since.

The elderly victim suffered a cut to his lip, but refused medical attention.

It’s not clear what the pair were arguing about before it turned physical.

No arrests have been made. Witnesses are urged to call Crime Stoppers with tips.
