NJ Accident Leaves Utility Pole Laying on Top of a Bus

A serious road accident in New Jersey Thursday morning left a utility pole laying on top of a bus and a crushed car behind it.

The accident happened in an industrial area of Hillside, just off a stretch of Route 22 that routinely floods in bad weather. It was not immediately clear if weather played a part in the accident, though.

An eyewitness at a local business told News 4 New York that the bus appeared to have been in an accident with the car. Photos show the utility pole across the bus's hood, with significant electrical wiring down across the bus and road.

Multiple adults were removed from the municipal bus, according to the witness, though their conditions were not immediately clear.

The damaged car stood behind the bus, its front end almost totally crushed. The condition of the car's occupants was also unclear.
