Major Crash Near West Point, Army Confirms Chaotic Situation

A major emergency response is underway after an apparent crash in New York's Orange County early Thursday. 

Few details were immediately available on the crash, which was reported on Route 293 and Natural Bridge Road in West Point around 7:30 a.m.

It wasn't clear how many vehicles may have been involved or how many people may have been hurt, but emergency radio correspondence indicated multiple medevacs were called.

West Point public affairs confirmed a vehicle crash and chaotic situation at Camp Natural Bridge, but said they were not in a position to confirm any casualties. The camp is a cadet summer training site.
