10-Year-Old Boy Struck by Ambulance, Seriously Hurt: Police

An ambulance hit a 10-year-old boy in East Harlem on Saturday afternoon, critically injuring him, police said. 

The boy suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to Cornell Medical Center in serious condtion, the NYPD said. 

He was struck by an FDNY ambulance at 99th Street and First Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. 

The circumstances of the crash weren't immediately released.
