New Clue in Sleeping Woman's Rape in Queens Emerges

A new clue that may help authorities catch a man they say raped a sleeping woman in Queens last month has emerged.

The NYPD released a new surveillance images (above) of the man they say raped a 28-year-old woman inside her own Ridgewood apartment last month. It shows the man crossing the turnstile inside a nearby subway station.

It was Feb. 7 when officials said the man, who is about 30 years old, and the woman fell asleep inside the woman’s home in the area of Gates Avenue and Saint Nicholas Avenue. Police said the man raped her when she was sleeping, but he ran off when she woke up and hasn’t been seen since.

The man also stole the woman’s Apple watch and some cash, cops said.
