Man on FBI's 10 Most Wanted List Suspected in DC Homicide
A fugitive on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted list who was arrested in Maryland is suspected in the death of a Southeast D.C. woman, according to law enforcement sources.
Officers checking on the welfare of 40-year-old Natina Kiah found her dead in her apartment in the 5000 block of D Street SE about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said. She had been stabbed.
Police arrested 43-year-old Lamont Stephenson in Prince George’s County Thursday morning, sources said.
He was wanted by the FBI for the suspected killing of a woman and her dog in Newark, New Jersey, in October 2014. Stephenson was charged with homicide in November 2014.
In September 2017, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Stephenson for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Kiah was a mother of four children who worked as a security officer at a homeless shelter in Northeast D.C.
Her family is elated an arrest has been made.
“They got him!” her mother, Jennifer Wallace, told News4.
