Deli Groper Keeps Groping Woman as She's on Phone With 911
Cops are looking for a man who was allegedly very persistent in groping a woman in a Brooklyn deli last weekend.
Police say the man started talking to a 29-year-old woman in Dekalb Deli, a busy convenience store on the corner of Dekalb and Ashland Place a few blocks from Fort Greene park, shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday.
She rebuffed his efforts at conversation, at which point cops say he forcibly groped her. She fended him off long enough to call 911 but he allegedly persisted and continued to grope her as she was on the phone with the 911 operator.
Eventually he ran off, heading south on Ashland. Police released surveillance video of him in the store (above). Anyone with information about the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
