Baby in Stroller Travels Alone on Subway for 60 Blocks: NYPD
A 1-year-old boy in a stroller wound up riding alone on a subway train from the Upper West Side all the way down to Penn Station after his caretaker had some sort of medical episode on the train, police said.
The boy and his nanny were on the subway when the nanny got ill and was taken off the train at 96th Street, where people tended to her, according to police. But the train continued on with the baby on board, all alone.
The child was recovered unharmed at the 34th Street Penn Station stop, and ultimately reunited with his mother, police said. The mother is not pressing charges.
The nanny's condition wasn't immediately clear.
