April the World-Famous Giraffe Is Back in Labor
April, the beloved upstate New York giraffe whose extra-long pregnancy went viral in 2017, has gone into labor again, her zoo said Saturday.
"We are in labor!!!!!" the Animal Adventure Park wrote on Facebook. A live video feed from her pen in Harpursville, New York, showed April in the middle of giving birth.
April became a viral sensation when the park set up a livestream of her during her pregnancy in 2017, but it dragged on for weeks. Finally, tens of millions of people across the world watched the birth of the calf, who was dubbed Tajiri.
