2 Hurt as Car Careens Into NYC Deli, Spewing Debris All Over
At least two people were hurt when a car somehow plowed straight through a deli in Brooklyn Thursday, burying itself so far inside the store it wasn't even visible from Chopper 4's aerial view of the intersection.
Fire officials say one of the victims in the Cropsey Avenue crash in Bath Beach was taken to a hospital; that person's condition wasn't clear. The other individual refused medical attention at the scene.
Footage from Chopper 4 showed debris spewed all over the sidewalk in front of the deli, which was on the corner of the block. Caution tape also roped off the entrance to a next-door cleaners as swarms of emergency personnel canvassed the scene.
A cause of the accident is under investigation.
