Shots Fired on Chelsea Playground in Broad Daylight
Shots were fired on a playground in Chelsea Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Bullets started flying just around 1:30 p.m. at the playground located near two schools, including one across the street, police say. Police set up a barricade at the school as a precaution.
The incident started with two groups arguing on the playground when four to five shots were fired, according to NYPD.
Images taken from the scene showed officers canvassing the area as police search for a female suspect who they believe ran into a building nearby.
Police have not been able to apprehend any of the suspects involved as they continue to interview people and look at surveillance video.
No injuries were reported.
