Next Snow Storm Hits Wednesday Night: Here's What to Expect
Storm Team 4 is tracking a weak system that will bring light snow to parts of the tri-state beginning as early as Wednesday afternoon.
Most of Wednesday should be snow-free in the city, but very light snow or flurries are possible during the afternoon and evening.
Steady snow will move in late evening through the overnight hours, making roads a bit slick for Thursday's morning commute.
At this point, Storm Team 4 projects 1 to 3 inches of accumulation just north of the city, with up to 5 inches falling across parts of Ulster and Dutchess counties. New York City should see about an inch, while most of northwest New Jersey and Long Island should see 1 to 2 inches. The Jersey Shore can expect a trace.
Wednesday's high temp isn't expected to hit 30 degrees, but temps are expected to bounce back into the 40s on Thursday and stay that way through the weekend, Storm Team 4 says.
