LIRR Service Disrupted After Train Hits Truck on Tracks

Long Island Rail Road train service is disrupted on several lines after a train hit a car on the tracks, the MTA says.

Service is suspended in both directions on the Ronkonkoma and Huntington/Port Jefferson branches as fire departments respond to the accident. The MTA says a train became disabled after hitting a truck on the tracks near the School Street crossing in Westbury. 

It wasn't immediately clear if there were any injuries.
