Driver Crashes School Bus Into Tree in New Jersey: Police

A driver was taken to the hospital after she crashed a school bus carrying 11 children into a tree in New Jersey — but none of the students were injured, police said.

The driver was transporting the children from Fourteenth Avenue Elementary School in Newark around 1:10 p.m. Wednesday when she crashed into a tree at 14th Avenue and Jones Street, according to police. 

She was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said. The extent of her injuries wasn't immediately clear.

None of the children were injured, according to police. The crash is under investigation.
