Driver Arrested in Taxi Hit-and-Run: Police
A taxi struck a woman walking in Queens on Saturday, then fled the scene, police said.
The woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition, the NYPD said.
She was struck at Queens Boulevard and 63rd Drive by a taxi that fled the scene, police said.
The taxi was found about a 10-minute drive away in Carona, police said. The driver was arrested. Charges were pending.
