3 Firefighters Injured Battling Fire at Bronx Building: FDNY


Three firefighters suffered minor injuries after a fire broke out at a six-story building in the Bronx, the FDNY said.

The fire started on the fifth floor of the building on East 163rd Street, near Park Avenue in Fleetwood-Concourse Village, around 3 a.m. Sunday, the department said.

More than 100 firefighters responded to the scene, the FDNY said. Three of them sustained minor injuries.

No civilian injuries had been reported as of Sunday morning.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many people were displaced by the fire or what started it.
